Below you will find activity details, hotel information and airport information. Those who wish to join us for the Night to be Much Observed and the First Day of Unleavened Bread will receive further details and directions via email once they have registered.

Activities

Hike/Waterfalls of the Upstate Tour
Join us Friday morning at 10 AM for a moderate hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The meeting location is at Caesar’s Head State Park on Highway 276 north of Greenville.  After viewing the vistas from Caesar’s Head, we will hike 2.2 miles to see Raven Cliff Falls.  The next stop will be Jones Gap State Park, just off Highway 276 back towards Greenville.  Depending on interest, we will hike 1.6 miles to see Rainbow Falls and/or hike 1 mile to see Jones Gap Falls. Hikers should bring their own food and water and bring weather appropriate clothing.  The Caesar’s Head area can be much colder than areas below the mountain.

We’ll return to Greenville in plenty of time for everyone to grab some dinner and get ready for the Singles’ Bible Study.  The Bible Study will be held in the Greenville Hilton Spartanburg-Anderson Ballroom, and will begin at 7:30pm.  While the topic will be geared toward singles, all are welcome to attend.

Sabbath Services & Gala
Sabbath Services will start at 2:00pm and will be held in the Greenville Hilton Spartanburg-Anderson Ballroom.  We will have the pleasure of hearing from guest speaker, Mr. Charles Ogwyn.

The Springtime in Carolina Gala will begin with dinner at 6:30 in the Hilton’s Palmetto Ballroom.  We’ll have a delicious dinner of garden salad, roast beef with cabernet mushroom sauce, roasted red bliss potatoes, fresh vegetables, and matzos.  We will be having delicious unleavened pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.  We will also have a cash bar set up in the lobby.

Following dinner, we will begin the dance.  Dress for the Gala is semi-formal/formal, so ladies, you get to dress up!  Our own Robert Pitts will DJ the dance.  Make sure to request your favorite song– he’s sure to have it!  We will also provide a few short dance lessons throughout the evening.

Sunday Picnic
Last year’s Picnic in the Park went so well, we’re doing it again this year!  We’ll kick off activities in Cleveland Park (just a couple of miles from the  Hilton) with a softball game at 10:00am.  At noon, we’ll lunch on southern fried chicken with all the fixin’s.  After lunch, we’ll have several activities to choose from: a trip to the Greenville Zoo (great for the kids!), a walk to River Falls Park to view the Liberty Bridge (the only suspension bridge of it’s kind in world!), a walk through beautiful Downtown Greenville, volleyball, tennis, and more!  Kids will love the huge playground, conveniently located right beside the picnic shelter.

Airport Information

The closest airport is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), which is about ten miles from the Hilton.  The Hilton offers a free airport shuttle to anyone staying there.  If you are staying at another hotel and need to be picked up/dropped off, we can provide transportation!

You may also fly in to Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport (ATL), which is about two hours from Greenville, or to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT), which is about an hour-and-a-half from Greenville.  Due to distance, we will not be able to offer transportation to/from these airports.
