LCG – Anderson

UPDATE: 7:30 am, Friday- We are still planning to hike this morning.  Meet at Caesar’s Head at 10 am as planned.  We will likely not get to do all we had planned, but some weather reports indicate we may be able to get in the Raven Cliff Falls hike.  If we have to abandon, we will call the numbers you gave at registration.

Update for Hike as of 11 pm Thursday, April 9: We plan on having the hike if weather permits.  If forecasted rain and thunderstorms materialize overnight, we will post a cancellation notice by 7:30 am Friday morning.  Our alternate activity is to meet at Don Pablos’s Mexican Restaurant on Haywood Road in Greenville (just a short distance from the Greenville Hilton and across from Haywood Mall) at 12 noon for lunch and then go to AMF Star Lanes at 740 S. Pleasantburg Dr., Greenville, SC 29607 (telephone (864) 242-5764) for a couple of hours of bowling.  If you plan to attend the alternate activity or if you have input, email me at lcganderson@gmail.com.

The Anderson, SC Congregation is pleased to announce the Second Annual Upstate, SC Holy Day Weekend. If you’re looking to shake off those winter doldrums by celebrating the opening of God’s Holy Days in a semi-tropical, luscious mountain setting, this is the weekend for you! Greenville is beautiful in the spring, with the azure haze emanating from the Blue Ridge Mountains, the white and pink dogwoods blooming, and vibrantly colored azalea bushes bursting to life everywhere. The only thing more inviting than the environment is the well-known hospitality of the Anderson Congregation. So come on, y’all, and join us for a fun-filled, spiritually uplifting First Day of Unleavened Bread!

Visitors will have the option of two arrival dates this year.  We are making arrangements for Night to Be Observed Dinner on Wednesday evening, if you would like to spend the Holy Day with us on Thursday, or you may arrive Friday and spend just the weekend. Either way, we hope to see you here!
